David J. Bates
Mr. Bates is the President of Casey Enterprises, Inc., a privately held business consulting firm established in 1994. He is a specialist in project finance with over ten years of experience with the International Finance Corp. (IFC), the private-sector affiliate of The World Bank. Mr. Bates' experience with IFC covered a broad range of industrial sectors and geographic regions, including Western and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining IFC, he held various positions in The World Bank over a period of seven years, focusing primarily on agricultural policies and investments. Mr. Bates received a B.A. degree (1977) and M.Phil. degree (1981) in Economics from George Washington University, as well as an M.B.A. (1984) from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Potomac, Maryland, and serves on a number of boards for corporate and non-profit organizations.
