Peter M. Chiste
Mr. Chiste is Vice President and Principal of
PNC Equity Management Corp.
("PNC Equity"), the Pittsburgh-based, private equity arm of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Mr. Chiste joined PNC Equity in 2001 and currently leads its private equity and venture capital partnership investment program. His private equity career began in 1997 at Banc One Investment Advisors, a leading investment management firm owned by Bank One Corporation. Previously, he was a senior product manager in the institutional trust divisions of Bank One Trust Company and First Fidelity Bank. Mr. Chiste received his B.A. in Business Administration and English Literature (1980) from Rutgers College, a J.D. (1983) from Rutgers School of Law, and an M.B.A. in Finance (1991) from New York University's Stern School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 2000.
Founded in 1982, PNC Equity is currently among the largest private equity providers focused on the middle market in the United States. PNC Equity provides equity and mezzanine financing for later stage growth acquisitions, recapitalizations and buyouts through its direct investment activities under which it has invested over $775 million in 120 companies and committed more than $700 million to over 100 private equity, mezzanine and venture capital funds.
