Paul A. Giusti

Mr. Giusti is Senior Vice President and Principal of PNC Equity Management Corp. ("PNC Equity"), the Pittsburgh-based, private equity arm of PNC Financial Services Group. Mr. Giusti joined PNC Equity in 1987 and currently co-leads its Buyout Capital Group. His venture capital career began in 1978 at Narragansett Capital Corporation, one of the country's first investment firms specializing in leveraged buyouts. Prior to Narragansett, Mr. Giusti worked in the Internal Controls Department of United Brands and served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1972. Mr. Giusti received his B.A. in Economics (1968) and an M.B.A. with honors (1976) from Boston University.

Founded in 1982, PNC Equity is currently among the largest private equity providers in the United States with $1 billion of committed capital. Since 1988, PNC Equity has made 85 direct investments totaling approximately $450 million and, in 1999 alone, made 9 new investments and 14 follow-on investments totaling approximately $100 million. PNC Equity provides equity and mezzanine financing for later stage growth acquisitions, recapitalization and buyouts, through its three investment groups: PNC Capital Growth, PNC Buyout Capital, and PNC Mezzanine Capital.
